A Brief Interlude on Love & Haters

We were recently accused by a few people of being a “hater blog.” Whatever that is. Sure, we talk about things we don’t like. When your distaste of Will Schuester or Gwyneth Paltrow is that strong, you can’t keep those feelings to yourself. But we also talk about things we like. We even have a whole page dedicated to these people.

My friend the Aquarius once said to me, after the Libra told me she planned to make me into a hipster upon our arrival in Brooklyn, “you could never be a hipster. Your love for Britney and the Vampire Diaries is real and not ironic.” Truer words were never spoken. So below is a list of pop culture things we love. Some may be ironically, some may be genuine, but they all warm our ice-cold hearts.

  • Kanye West (duh)
  • Khloe & Lamar
  • House Hunters
  • Diners, Drive-ins and Dives (note: this does not include Guy Fieri)
  • Adele
  • Katy Perry’s Firework
  • Friday Night Lights
  • Damon Salvatore
  • Oh No They Didn’t
  • Lady Gaga’s Judas
  • Mean Girls
  • Zac Efron (seriously, how could you not know this? I work him into every entry I write)

While I’m personally not offended by being called a “hater blog” I am offended by someone not realizing how much true genuine love we have for Kanye West. Someone like that just doesn’t know us at all! In fact, I will leave you with a blessing from Kanye:

Love,
The Gemini
